Our body works all the time, when we are awake and when we sleep: the heart beats, the lungs fill with air, we sense, aware and non aware. In this installation I react to the body’s rythm and heat. Bodily Knowledge is an experiential space accompanying the exhibition ‘Vital Signs’ curated by: Kobi Ben Meir at the Haifa museum. The space is designed as a large scaled thermometer trasforming from warm to cold colors. The visitors shift between the ‘edges’ of the space playing with the transformation of the color/ light/ on the body’s rythms.
Panels painted in shades of red and blue hang along the gradiant wall, sensitive to heat, which disappears in contact with the skin.
