During the first Lockdown, in a moment, the cities altered leaving public spaces empty, streets were deserted, and any communal space was shut down. Our homes became transformable places for living, learning, working and consuming culture in new ways.

The facades- windows and balconies started operating as the new private public.

Tel Aviv Museum of Art, which like all other cultural institutes was closed to visitors till further notice. Through a Balcony was a series of evening screening of art on and in the city’s walls for the citizens under lockdown.

We traveled through the city, screening video art from the museum’s collection, breaching the boundaries of the museum on walls of building, now visible from widows and balconies.
